Baldov is a hill (548 m above sea level) about 2 km northwest of Domažlice, also known as Baldovské hill.

The Domažlice National Monument stands on this hill. It is a brick block, in the circumferential walls of which metal plaques and stone slabs are inserted, into which the names of the places of Hussite victories with their dating are highlighted. The torso was repaired in 2015 and newly supplemented with a giant sculptural stone installation of probably the largest granite chalice in the world and became a permanent monument to the victory of Hussite troops over the Crusaders in the Battle of Domažlice in 1431, which is placed in Baldov. The hill offers a view of nearby Domažlice and the Bohemian Forest.

In 2013, a tourist-attractive nature trail was created on Baldovské vrchy with an original sculpture gallery in the open air with the support of the town of Domažlice, civic associations and also with the contribution of European Union funds.

The hill is also significant from a historical point of view. It was probably here in 1431 that the cardinal and papal ablegate Cesarini watched the military situation before the battle of Domažlice, in which the troops of V. Cruciates turned to a panicked escape from the coming Hussites.

In the immediate vicinity of the monumental monument and a small chapel you can see a telecommunications tower of the BTS type, there is also the base of the CB club Domažlice - radio club OK1RDO, where various cultural events take place. Below it is an active Baldov quarry and also a complex of ruins of a large Baldov chateau/farm with a spring of drinkable water.
