Type:
Köppen climate type:
A former mica mine operated in the 1890s.
Lochnan & Quinlan (1965):
"The mine is situated close to the junction of the Notch and Mine Roads. This may be reached by following the Mine Road from Hull for 4.8 miles. North of the junction is a field through which the trail to be followed leads. The intrepid collector passes through heavily wooded areas for three quarters of a mile. The trail ends at a flooded pit, at one end of which an adit has been driven."
