These pegmatites are located 89 kilometres south-west of Halls Creek, in semi-arid remote country bordering the Great Sandy Desert. There are three groups of pegmatites, named Mount Heartbreak, Mount Cross, and Cummins Range (Minneroo Pool). No further mention is made in the reference for Mount Cross. Modern exploration appears to name Cummins Range (Minneroo Pool) as the Cummins Range Complex centred on a large rare earth pegmatite. Jacobson et al. (2007) provides the co-ordinates for this location but little else. At present the writer is assuming both locations are the same.

Further, the book by Jacobson et al. (2007) includes a map showing from northern most, Junda 3, Mt Dockrell, Taylor Lookout and Minneroo Pool pegmatites, trending north-east to southwest across 50 kilometres.

Jacobson et al. (2007) state the field based on MINEDEX information is on former ML 18 at 315,002E and 7,907,614N, UTM 52, GDA 94. I fear this of little help, as the pegmatites cover a vast swathe of countryside, that this information would only place you in the general area (please be aware the nearest road and human civilisation is back at Halls Creek). It is described as a historic pegmatite field along Columbium Creek.

GPS co-ordinates are provided for several other pegmatites in the area. North of Columbium Creek on a ridge is 315,375E and 7,909,173N, UTM52, GDA94, which the reference suggests is the Mount Heartbreak locality.

320,133E and 7,917,879N, UTM52, GDA94 or maybe 323,289E and 7,917,633N, UTM 52, GDA94 is the Junda 3 pegmatite.

309,816E and 7,895,974N, UTM52, GDA94 or maybe 309,915E and 7,895,948N, UTM 52, GDA94 is Minneroo Pool (Cummins Range).

Taylors Lookout, which also goes by the name Mount Heartbreak East is at 314,862E and 7,906,112N, UTM52, GDA94,

Individual localities will be listed as best we can with the limited and confusing information, which sometimes happens for very remote locations. Please be aware the reference lists one set of species, covering all localities, and there is no guarantee all will be found at any given location.
