Closed iron ore mine which worked on siderite (deposit similar to that of the Styrian Erzberg in Eisenerz).
Iron ore mining in the region of Radmer started in the beginning of the 18th century. After several closings and reopenings the modern Radmer mine was (re-)installed in 1937/38 by the Reichswerke Hermann Göring and started production in 1939. After WW II it was operated by the Österreichische Alpine Montangesellschaft (ÖAMG) and its successor VOEST ALPINE AG until closure in 1979. A part of the mine was an undergrund mine and nearby was an open pit with ten levels.
