A Cu mine located 9 miles West of Santiago de Cuba. Copper was first mined here in 1532 (the oldest mine in the new world). Mining finally stopped in 1988.

Mineralization is a Cu-Zn-Pb-Au volcanogenic deposit.

The coordinates reflect the main pit now water filled.
