Mineral List

Mineral list contains entries from the region specified including sub-localities

11 valid minerals. 1 erroneous literature entry.

Detailed Mineral List:

ⓘ Baryte
Formula: BaSO4
ⓘ Boulangerite
Formula: Pb5Sb4S11
Description: No historical finds are known. One single specimen was found recently where the boulangerite forms fine needles growing out of dolomite in association with sphalerite. Uncovered under calcite by acid. The ID was done by Dr. J. Heider by direct comparison if its EDX spectrum with the spectra of known sulfosalts during the same EDS-session.
ⓘ Calcite
Formula: CaCO3

ⓘ Dolomite
Formula: CaMg(CO3)2

ⓘ Galena
Formula: PbS

ⓘ Gersdorffite
Formula: NiAsS
ⓘ Heteromorphite
Formula: Pb7Sb8S19
Description: Confusion with 'plumosite' (true heteromorphite is not acicular but tabular), in fact probably boulangerite
ⓘ Jamesonite ?
Formula: Pb4FeSb6S14
Description: Not found in modern times and not clearly distinguished from boulangerit in the 19th century, but (sometimes) used as a synonym.
ⓘ Plumosite
Formula: Pb2Sb2S5
Description: It means very probably boulangerite, the only acicular sulfosalt that has been found in modern times
ⓘ Quartz
Formula: SiO2

ⓘ Sphalerite
Formula: ZnS

ⓘ Stibnite
Formula: Sb2S3
