Uranium ore prospects, excavated in the period 1960-1961 on the eastern slope of Monte Toff (Monte Tov), within the lower part of the stratigraphic sequence of the Permian Val Gardena Sandstone Formation (Arenarie della Val Gardena). The uranium mineralisation is confined to the grey sandstone series that contains dispersed organic matter and anthracite aggregates.
The main galleries (Ravizzola prospecting concession) were excavated at Prati d'Algone (Comano Terme municipality, formerly Bleggio Inferiore), other excavations were performed at Colfier (Stenico municipality).
