Located in the far north-east of the goldfield, and somewhat separated from the other localities which are otherwise all close together. It is approximately 10 kilometres south-west of Mount Magnet, and some 200 metres south of the Mount Magnet-Yalgoo Road. The site is marked by a small modern abandoned open pit, surrounded by a bund. A few historic shafts are scattered to the south-west.
Little information was found. It was reported in the papers in September 1929. This states the prior owners of the mine was Royal Consolidated Ltd. In 1929 it was owned by the Hillcrest Gold Mining Company, but the mine was being closed due to an unspecified dispute with vendors. The prior year the newspapers state, Hillcrest had the mine under option from James Arthur Coombes. Equipment at the site include a crude 83 HP oil engine, Huntington Mill, 2 grinding pans, 3-throw pump operated by an oil engine. The old shaft on the lease was down to 104 feet. P.G. Ardagh is mine manager. In the first decade of the 21st century, Harmony Gold Mines developed a small open pit at the site.
