Ureilite, Primitive Achondrite (olivine-pigeonite; S3; W3)
Find,1977-178; 1.998 kg

Hammadah al Hamra 126 (HaH 126) is a weathered, brecciated, moderately massive ureilite discovered in the Libyan dessert. Like most ureilites it is an olivine-pigeonite cumulate (~56 vol%, ~26 vol%, respectively). Most olivine is largely equilibrated and mildly forsteritic (Fa21), but smaller olivine crystals in matrix are variable and more magnesian (Fa1-12). Minor amounts of Ca-rich pyroxene are present [augite?]. The very minor amounts of Fe-rich metal reported are Ni-poor as the olivine rims in HaH 126 have been more reduced than those in most ureilites.
