The Napoleon gold prospect is near the northern shoreline of the Lake Cowan salt-pan. It is about 500 metres west of the small Josephine open pit, and is near the northern access track. At the time of writing (2015), the prospect was undeveloped, however Metals X have indicated likely development in the near future where a small near surface open pit will be excavated. Drill results have produced grades up to 15.7 g/t.
