The mine was owned and worked by Graham, Gregory, Burnside, Hamilton and Brown (surnames). It had been purchased for a 'small sum' in early 1907 from the original prospector Martin (surname). At this stage the shaft was 50 feet down, but was later extended to 140 feet. The reef was said to be 7 feet wide, called Martin's Reef. Crushings were found in the Graham and party name until 1910. In September 1910, the mine closed indefinitely due to a dispute between the miners.
