Agnes Venture Gold Mine; St Agnes No 2 North

Located with several other mines on the Agnes Venture Reef. The Agnes Venture north mine adjoined it to the north. The Caledonian to the south. Late 1890's locality.

It was originally St. Agnes No. 2 North with three shafts to 51, 35 and 32 feet deep. The lease ceased in November 1899. It then became the Agnes Venture mine GML 782, voided July 1902. There was a north shaft on an easterly dipping quartz reef, where it intersects a quartz-porphyry dyke. Portions of both the reef and dykes are banded. The southern shaft was down to 150 feet, showing graphitic schist.
