The Nim 2 Gold Mine is at the northern end of a superpit in the central part of the Jundee mine complex. The North-West Gold Mine adjoins it to the south, also as part of the superpit. The deposit was discovered by Hunter Resources around 1990.
The Nim 1 and Nim 2 pits are effectively one pit.
