The Tin Dog Gold Mine was mentioned in the State Engineer's report for 1906. The mine is about 2 kilometres north of the Mount Catherine Gold Mine. Originally developed in the late 1890's, with a shaft sunk to 110 feet. The water level came in at 100 feet. Described as a strong body of rubbly iron stained material and white quartz. In 1906, prospectors were pig-rooting around the surface. There are several scattered minor workings in the area, and the Mindat co-ordinates are approximate.
