The Frog Gold Mine is approximately 4 kilometres south-west of the Callion Mine. It is accessed by a faint track leaving this mine in a south-west then southerly direction. A line of minor workings borders the west side of the track. Information was only found across 1946 to 1947.

Application for the lease (GML 1137) 24 acres, was taken out by Davyhurst prospectors, James Cruickshank and John Thomas Healy in March 1946. After an initial rich crushing, interest appears to wane rapidly, as by September the same year, they are on another P.A. elsewhere in the district.

The lease was named after the initial 3.5 oz nugget found, in the shape of a frog. The deposit was found by loaming, and a 20 foot shaft was sunk.

August 1947, H. Steinbeck puts through a 20 tonne crushing for 3 oz 4 dwt, and that is all that was found.
