Köppen climate type:
Au-Cu-Sb prospect. Located 35 kilometres west north-west of Becher. The deposit is hosted in high Mg basalt in the Louden Volcanics. It has a strike of 5 kilometres. This includes the Sam's Ridge and Fisher Well gold prospects.
It is a prominent ridge, capped with chalcedonic quartz, discovered in 1988 by Whim Creek Consolidated. It was a surprise the site lay hidden for so long, as it was showing oxide Cu minerals on the surface, and was only a few hundred metres from the old North West Coastal Highway.
The veins are dominated by chalcedony, and also contains colloform quartz, crack seal breccias, and bladed quartz pseudomorphs. Platey calcite is replaced by quartz.
Sam's Ridge is 150 metres wide, trending north north-east as a zone of quartz veining, flat lying, to steep dipping veins. There are gossanous zones with some oxide copper minerals like malachite in several places.
