Köppen climate type:
A large opencast working aligned N-S, about 250 metres X 40 metres and up to 40 metres deep, accessed from a the south end via a steep scree slope. Numerous tin veinlets intersect to form a stockworks.
The mine is ancient and was reworked in 1859 to 1916, yielding 1350 tons of black tin. The mill is in the valley to the west with levels extending to the opencast but none are now accessible.
