A lead mine located 12 km miles South to Southwest of Roebourne.
Part of the 'Pilbara gold field'

This mine has been active in recent years, (to the point they sealed part of the road between the mine and Roebourne), but no information could be found. Discovered about 1872, and initially worked via two shafts but only to 11 metres depth with minor production.

The mine is near the junction between granite and diorite in the area. GML 67. It is a well defined north-south striking reef, dipping east, 4 to 6 feet wide. Ferguson states it is a fissure vein up to 1.8 metres wide in granite and gabbro, dipping 50 to 85 degrees east. Mineralisation is hosted in a pegmatite vein within granite.

Described as a quartz reef containing galena and sphalerite, several feet long in greenstone. There was once considerable quantities of smithsonite at the surface, with minor malachite, and chalcopyrite.

In the early 20th Century the mine was called Brothers United, and Woolcock was the owner of the lease. Gibb-Maitland who visited in 1908, stated the ore would need careful picking to be marketable. In 1925, A.G. McCrae pegged the lease, stating it had not been worked for many years, and a small shipment of lead-silver ore went out. Between 1948-1952 44.19 tonnes of lead, and 14 kg silver was produced.
