Other/historical names associated with this locality:
Cayada Mountain Breccia

Two noted mineralized zones in Carbon River Stock granodiorite produced quartz crystals near Coplay Lake on Cayada Mountain. The main locality produced large milky quartz crystals associated with black tourmaline, pyrite, and sparse sphalerite. The largest recorded crystal from the main locality measured over 9 inches tall.

A second exposure to the east of the main locality, named ''East Cliff'' produced smaller quartz crystals with occasional inclusions of an unidentified mineral suspected to be stibnite. An unknown greenish mineral also occurs with the quartz crystals. Many empty casts of previous crystals in massive quartz were likely arsenopyrites.
