Vestfjorden is the southwestern part of the lake Vegår (often confused with the lake named Vegårsvann, which is loacted further northeast). The coordinates are for the lake.

In the area around the Vestfjorden there are interesting breccia's and hydrothermal dykes.

A find of beautiful phantom quartz is not related to these occurrences, but has been made more to the north (pers. com. Ronald Werner, Dec. 2020). This find was made by Trond Owe Bergstrøm and published in the norwegian mineral magazine STEIN, nr. 3 in 2020 page 4.

The map uploaded by Ronald Werner, is from Touret (1968).

Named erronously as Kilsvann in Larsen (2020).
