A lead-zinc-silver mine near the head of Swamp Creek. The ore occurred in many narrow irregular veins along a shear zone in Devonian-Permian argillite of the Chilliwack Group. It was developed by three short adits and a small mill. A small amount of ore was produced from 1938-1939. Ore from the lower adits averaged 2.03% Pb, 2.82% Zn, and 1.08 oz/ton Ag
Alteration: Wall Rock Adjacent To Veins Contains Kaolinite, Sericite, Fine-Grained Pyrite.
Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc
Deposit: 11 unpatented contiguous claims. Sketch map of claims available in moen ; info.src : 1 pub lit see also mrds record m700014 small ore stringers are 0.125-8 in. Thick along a shear zone.
Deposit type: Polymetallic veins
Development: Ore shipped to tacoma smelter in 1938.
Geology: The host rocks are described As green to gray calcareous argillite and chlorite schist.
Rock formation(s): Chilliwack Formation;Chilliwack Formation
