Located 15 kilometres south-west of the Alice Downs homestead, and a couple of hundred metres north of the Alice Downs to Yurrunga track. Said to be one mile west of the Star of Kimberley mine. When inspected in 1891, it had been abandoned.

The mine was on a large east-west trending quartz blow, with a shaft down to 20 feet. The stone was very gossany and Fe stained. The reef the sources claim is 40 feet thick at the surface, but untested at depth, outcropping 15 feet above the surface as a large white quartz wall, in talcose slate. 5 tonnes had been crushed for 30 ounces of gold.

The site is estimated to contain from exploration by Southern Ventures in the mid 1980's, 49 800 tonnes of ore at 4.22 g/t Au, 10.4 g/t Ag, 0.44% Pb, and 0.05% Zn.
