Located 3 kilometres south-east of the junction between the Bow River and Turkey Creek. The prospect is in a broad flat area, with scattered rock outcrops, covered by a thin residual soil 50-100 cms thick. Oxidation reaches 18 metres below the surface.

Mineralisation is in the Bow River Gabbro, a complex of gabbro, norite and minor pyroxenite, with amphibole rich metamorphic derivatives.

Mineralisation is coarse grained pyrrhotite, with sub-ordinate chalcopyrite, and minor pentlandite. Gossans are found as small scattered pods within gabbro, and float fragments in the soil cover, including dense lustrous limonite, interlayered with earthy limonite, and may carry chalcopyrite and/or malachite.
