Located about 25 kilometres south-west of Halls Creek, 5 kilometres south of the Great Northern Highway, and 2.5 kilometres south-west of the Mount Angelo North prospect.

The prospect is associated with a relative small rock unit called the Angelo Microdiorite, 5 kilometres long by one kilometre wide, at the contact between the Koongie Park and Olympio Formations.

The prospect has large low grade copper mineralisation, with sub-ordinate Mo-Bi-Ag-Au. Mineralisation is veins and stringers of chalcopyrite and various (un-named) secondary copper minerals (photographs have been seen of malachite on fractured host rocks). The anomalism is 1000 metres long by 300 metres wide.

The prospect was explored in the late 1960's and early 1970's, by Picklands Mather and the Murchison Central Mines. 3D Resources purchased the leases in 2007 from Sulphide Resources Pty Ltd. In 2012, Cazaly Resources entered a joint exploration venture over the leases with 3D Resources. Cazaly is a company that has made several powerful enemies by trying to jump leases in the past. The companies continue to promote their tenure over the leases, over what is a substantial time, with little further new discoveries at the prospects, than what was known in 2007.
