Located 5 kilometres south of the Gibb River Road, and 135 kilometres east of Derby.

A quarry was developed here briefly in the mid 1980's by the Parry Corporation and McDonald Mining Pty Ltd.

It is a large dolerite dyke, 800 metres long by 20 metres wide, which outcrops intermittently above the plain. Three trial pits were developed, and 50 blocks extracted.

The dyke is strongly zoned, with fine grained material near the contact with the host Lennard Granite, and getting progressively coarser grained towards the centre of the dyke. The coarse grain, cracking, poor shape, and difficulty removing the blocks all led to the site being abandoned as a source of high grade black granite for Japanese headstones.

See Quarry Camp Mindat locality for more information.
