Located about 140 kilometres north-east of Derby. The area is now a military training reserve and is off limits. Remote, and would be extremely difficult to reach anyway. The prospect is roughly 20 kilometres to the east of the geographic Mount Nellie.

The prospect is within a sharp ridge which rises 25 metres from the surrounding plain. It consists of a quartz filled shear, one kilometre long, 1-3 metres wide, dipping 80-85 degrees east, containing malachite and chalcanthite veinlets, layers, and irregular disseminations. The mineralisation occurs in goethite, and extends for 900 metres.

Marston states there is a shaft down to 9 metres, and small potholes from historic exploration.

Marston mentions another ridge, one kilometre to the south-west containing malachite and quartz in a shear.
