Köppen climate type:
Layered magnetite-chlorite-garnet-sericite in quartzite, up to 35 metres thick, containing zones of limonite, manganese oxides, and pyrite pseudomorphs, over a length of 400 metres. There are also small isolated patches of disseminated malachite, where the quartzite meets two folds, plunging steeply south-east.
Explored by Newmont in 1974-1975. Located in the western Great Sandy Desert, inamongst a sea of sand-dunes. About 50 kilometres north of the Panngurr indigenous community. A faint track heads north from the community ending at what appears to be a small exploration pit. Access would require permission from the community, and is not recommended due to the remote location.
