A dolomite outcrop, located only 200 m from the famous Lengenbach quarry. Sulphosalts are rare (the most common one is jordanite).

Note on the mineral list: "Scapolite" (Marialite-Meionite series) is not included in the list, because only muscovite pseudomorphs after scapolite ("Pinite") have been found.

The Mässerbach is an approximately five kilometers long, year-round water-bearing watercourse in the Binntal, canton of Valais, Switzerland.

The creek rises just north of the Rhône-Po watershed just above the Geisspfadsee, into which it flows shortly afterwards. The political border between Switzerland and Italy runs 250 m south of the source.

After the outflow, it flows westwards into the Züesee after a run of only about 60 m in a westerly direction. It flows another 400 m to the west at 2376 m above sea level. Near the Zantmärjelebiel mountain peak, part of its water drains into the hollow of a mountain lake (2366 m above sea level).

Immediately afterwards, the Mässerbach turns to the north and in the next 1.4 km drops steeply by 394 meters over post-glacial scree fields. At an altitude of 1982 m above sea level it picks up another, only temporarily pouring mountain stream from the left.

The following 1.6 kilometers of its flow path lead the stream down a further 323 meters in altitude through the Krummholz zone, where it rises to 1659 m above sea level. It picks up a forest stream from the right and then reaches the settlement of Figgerscha. There the Mässerbach strengthens at an altitude of 1599 m above sea level with the Lengebach flowing in from the right. The Mässerbach flows southeast of Fäld at 1560 m above sea level from the left into the Binna, a left tributary of the Rhone.

The debris of the creek are interesting for mineral collectors. On the upper reaches of the stream, areas of snow and ice must also be expected in July and August in northern locations.
