The prospect borders the eastern side of the Tennant Creek town site. The source notes five anomalies, some being swallowed by residential development.
The site contains one shaft (now filled in), and small tailings area (status unclear), but no historic information could be found. It is part of a hematite body with strong chloritization and muscovite alteration. Anomalous Au-Cu-Bi was found.
The outcrop is fine grained red weathered greywacke, adjacent to massive hematite. The hematite body is 15-20 metres wide, possibly banded with altered sedimentary rocks. Around the shaft a fault thickens, and displaces the hematite outcrop, being denser fine grained, brittle and quartz free. The source states a nearby sorting heap found in 1991, showed limonite stained quartz veined hematite, which was assumed carried the gold.
