To the end of 1938 the mine had produced 22.7 tonnes of ore for 10.3 ounces of gold. Ironstone mineralisation overlays weathered lithic arenite with sub-ordinate shale and siltstone. Explored by Geopeko, Normandy and Giants Reef Exploration. The deposit is 4 kilometres south of Tennant Creek and 2 kilometres east of the Stuart Highway. It is part of a line of historic mines, along an east-west trending ridge, with the Cat Whiskers mine 200 metres to the east, and Eldorado mine to the west.
