The Arcadia gold mine is about 2 kilometres west of Mount Samuel, with the Westward Ho and Skipper gold mines immediately to the south-west. No workings or tracks could be seen and the Mindat map is approximate.
Truscott Mining states the location contains shallow historic workings. It is located on east-west striking ironstone, north of a north north-west trending prominent structural block. Further exploration was barred as the area was declared a scared site. The mine has produced 820 ounces of gold.
