At the Keuper (Triassic) levels of the area, samples of aragonite and autogenic quartz can be collected, in whitish or reddish colors as the "Jacintos of Compostela". They are found in the clay layers associated with gypsum levels, sometimes with beautiful reddish colorations. A well accessible place is at the base of the hill called "El Cubillo", very close to the village of Moratilla and the railroad tracks.
En los niveles del Keuper (Triásico) del área, se pueden recoger muestras de aragonito y cuarzo autigénico en colores blanquecinos o rojizos, como en los "Jacintos de Compostela". Se encuentran en las capas de arcilla asociadas a niveles de yeso, a veces con hermosas coloraciones rojizas. Un lugar bien accesible se encuentra en la base de la colina llamada El Cubillo, muy próxima al pueblo de Moratilla y a las vías del ferrocarril.
