The White Diamond mine is in the Hit or Miss group of the Hatches Creek wolfram field. To reach head south along a track opposite the Pioneer mine on the Kurundi Road (Binns Track). After about 5 kilometres the track reaches the Hatches Creek itself, and proceeds south partly along the sandy creek bed (possibly boggy). At the second gully a track heads west, passing the Hen and Chickens mine, before the second track is taken north. Almost immediately the White Diamond mine is reached, with the Masters Gully mine further up the hill.

The two White Diamond lodes are hosted by interbedded sandstone, siltstone and volcanic rock. The lodes are severely faulted, with strikes and dips of a large number of short quartz reefs within the lodes irregular, in a wide fracture zone.

In 1940, the lease was known as Koppochs, with the second lode to the north-west as 'Workings north of Koppochs'.

The northern most lode is a series of discontinuous reefs in volcanic rocks, in a wide shear zone, the reefs narrow and ore poor. It is marked by numerous shafts and shallow open cuts, which were largely filled in, even in the late 1950's when inspected.

The second southern lode contains an unusually large number of short quartz reefs, en enchelon, in a complex shear zone. The outcrop forms a S shape, caused by faulting of the central, and richer part of the lode. The short quartz reefs are arranged in such a way that the next reef is found at the right hand wall at the end of the previous reef. The reefs are much faulted, with a northerly strike, with variable steep dip, and up to 16 inches wide. The lode contains a shaft down to 50 feet, and shallow open cuts.
