A large open cut 60 metres long and 9 metres deep near Wipe Out Well, and 7.5 kilometres north-east of the former government battery site.

The quartz reef is up to 0.5 metres wide, containing boxworks in the upper levels with pyrite, gold, and minor malachite. The reef infills a north trending shear within retrograde tonalite of the Atnarpa Igneous Complex.

The mine dates from the 1890's. In 1960, R.J. Shaw erected a 3 head Riverside battery near Wipe Out Well, but there was no recorded production from the battery. In 1962, a parcel of ore 1.6 tonnes was sent to Tennant Creek to be processed, and returned a dis-appointing 0.8 ounces.
