To reach this locality take the track south immediately after the Entire Creek crossing on the Plenty Highway. Head south 15.1 kilometres until a track comes in sharply from the north-west. Take this track which crosses the Entire Valley, crossing the creek by the same name (boggy?), and turn right shortly after at the T junction. Go north 300 metres, and immediately after crossing a minor creek, go west along a faint track for 1.3 kilometres. The last part is steep, but walking is an option.
Transparent khaki green epidote crystals in vugs can be found. Also blue-green amphibole, feldspar, pink and brown calcite, and patches of pink granular corundum.
PNC Exploration while searching for uranium bearing minerals in the early 1990's, mentions some general geology for areas adjacent to the gemstone workings. This amounts to interlayered amphibolite and felsic gneisses, with amphibolite altered to epidote rich zones traced one kilometre south, and 500 metres north of the gemstone workings. It further states the rock is zones of epidosite, altered amphibolite with up to 20% scapolite, with pods of quartz-epidote-garnet-feldspar, with cross-cutting coarse epidote and quartz veins, and pegmatites. It is uncertain if the following is specimen grade material, but highlights Th-allanite, U-thorite, abundant U-zircon, autunite, apatite in serpentised epidotised diopside rock. The hanging wall contains numerous pods of chocolate coloured garnet rich rock as a garnet-epidote skarn rock.
