To reach follow the directions listed under the Spriggs Creek Bore. (No entry signs are in place from the Ambalindum Station). Take the track south-west from the bore towards Lizzie Bore. At the 5.3 kilometre mark from Spriggs Creek Bore, a faint track heads south-east 2.8 kilometres to the diggings.

The diggings are on the side of a small hill. Common (at least in the mid 1980's) epidote crystals to 2 cms in diameter, some needle like in quartz, also in veins in the surrounding country rock in a muddy matrix. Thompson (1986) suggests collecting the muddy matrix, then carefully soaking the crystals out in water at home, to protect the crystals on the journey (if you could possibly resist the temptation).

It also states there are well formed plagioclase crystals, with scarce rutile and sphene, the latter as flattish brown crystals. Likely these days material would need to found by digging. Sphene has been posted for the area, but its location is uncertain.
