Approximately 1km down the road to Melle, across a small bridge over the Hunte river, up a steep path into the woods is an old quarry.
This particular quarry is famous for a rock wall of about 4m x 8m (discovered in 1921) where 3 rows of dinosaur (Megalosaurus and probably Dicraeosaurus) footprints, approximately 135 million years old, can be clearly seen.
