A phlogopite-bearing pyroxenite mined for phlogopite mica. Located 20 km S of the town of Betroka. The pyroxenite vein cross the RN 13 (PK 136). It is 35 m wide and can be followed for 500-600 m.
Besaire (1966) gives these map coordinates: X = 301,7 and Y = 354,5. (Map sheet Betroka et Est Benenitra).
In the old mines a sapphirine-bearing anatectic Al-Mg granulite occurs (Razakamanana et al. 2006)
