Kolorowe jeziorka

Old mining area at the slope of Wielka Kopa mountain, rebuilt as a tourist place, with four small lakelets (artifical ponds): Yellow, Purple, Azure and Green.
The water of the purple (actually red-brownish) lakelet is acidic (pH = 3). The lakelet is a typical product of acid mine drainage.

There were three mines: Hoffnung, Neues Glück and Gustav Grube; they worked from 1785 to 1925. Pyrite was the main mineral mined.
The biggest lakelet and the oldest one (1785) was named Hoffnung Grube and now hosts the Purple lakelet. The other two mines were: Neues Glück (1793, presently Azure Lakelet), and Gustav Grube (1796; the Green Lakelet).
