Small impact crater (0.39 km in diameter), 3.1 Ma old.
Exposed in the Akchar Desert, in an area of Ordovician Oujeft and Zli sandstone.
Occurrence of impact glass around the southern and eastern parts of the crater rim, suggesting an oblique impact (Ould Mohamed Navee et al., 2024).

"The Zerga meteorite was found in 1973 immediately outside the crater rim to the south southeast, but scientists are unsure if it is the same meteorite (or even a part of it) that formed the crater." (Wikipedia)
