In the area around the Østre and Vestre Gruvetjenn several small mines/prospect can be seen at the altitude map.

The NGU has registered a rutile deposit in the same general area.

NGU Deposit Area 912 - 008 at 58.7708910,8.9622730.

It could there very well be that these also were rutile occurrences.
