Barth (1931) mentions an abandoned feldspar quarry.
The altitude map and an aerial picture of 1966 convincingly show a quarry at the given coordinates. It fits the description of Barth. However, it could also be the result of post-1931 quarrying.
Barth wrote the locality name as "Kvelsund".
