A pyrite-rich galena-bearing quartz vein, carrying economic quantities of silver and gold.
Small scale production started by Scotgold Resources 2016.

Near Tyndrum, historic mining was undertaken primarily for lead. Alluvial gold localities have been known since at least the sixteenth century with some unconfirmed reports of in situ occurrences, but the in situ gold mineralization was not discovered until the mid-1980s.
The area comprises dominantly of Dalradian Supergroup sedimentary and volcanic rocks, deformed and metamorphosed to amphibolite-facies during the Grampian phase. The Cononish deposit is an up to 6 m thick, single, composite quartz vein (the Eas Anie Vein) located in the vicinity of the sinistral, sub-vertical Cononish Fault (sometimes known as the Eas Anie Fault). The Cononish Fault is a splay off the main Tyndrum Fault. Two main vein generations have been identified: the early generations of the Eas Anie Vein comprise Au-Ag (±Cu, Pb) mineralization, termed “A-min” and interpreted to be c. 407–410 Ma based on K-feldspar ages. This early mineralized vein system is cross-cut by “B-Min” quartz veins that carry Pb-Zn mineralization.
