A former underground Cu-Ag-Au mine located in the NE ¼ sec. 20, T.19S., R.25E, on land of unknown status. Owned at times, or in part, by the Leadville Mining Co., Calumet & Arizona Mining Co., Needles Mining & Smelting Co., U.S. Smelting & Refining Co., and the Andes Copper Co.
Mineralization is large bodies of low grade cuperiferous pyritic ore in metamorphosed Abrigo Limestone near a fault contact Carboniferous limestone.
Workings include a shaft(s). The shaft inclines 60 degrees and was sunk in 1907. Workings exist approximately every 40-50 feet. Work in 1957 was on the 80 foot level. A total of several thousand tons of ore were produced from 1907 through 1917 and a small amount subsequently.
