A former small underground Cu-Pb-Ag mine located in the SE ¼ sec. 17 (& NE¼ sec. 20 ?), T.19S., R.25E. (Turquoise Mountain 7.5 minute topo map), about ½ mile NW of Courtland, on private land. Owned by the Mona Leasing Co.
Mineralization is a replacement deposit with small, irregular masses and narrow streaks of copper oxides, silicates and copper and lead carbonates in sand and gravel hosted in Bolsa Quartzite and Abrigo Limestone. Ore control was breccia between the quartzite above and limestone below.
Local structures include an overthrust of Bolsa Quartzite over Paleozoic rocks.
Workings include a shaft(s). About 1,000 tons of ore were produced intermittently from 1924 to 1938.
