A former small underground Cu-Ag-Au mine located in the East-central sec. 20, T.19S., R.25E. (Turquoise Mountain 7.5 minute topo map), approximately 1/4 mile W of Courtland, on private land. Produced 1911-1920. Operated by the Great Western Copper Co.; and, D.K. Brown.


Mineralization is a replacement deposit with copper carbonates and sulfides in bedded Cambrian Abrigo Limestone and Bolsa Quartzite. Ore bodies are lenticular. Ore control was metamorphosed limestone near a fault contact with carboniferous limestone.

Workings are shallow. A few tens of tons of ore were produced circa 1911 and 1920.
