A former small underground Pb-Ag mine located in the SE ¼ sec. 17, T.19S., R.25E, approximately ½ mile NW of Courtland, on private land. Produced 1911-1920. Operated by F.J. Emmons.


Mineralization is a replacement deposit with lead carbonate ore along fissures in Cambrian Abrigo Limestone and Bolsa Quartzite. Ore control was the limestone near a fault contact with carboniferous limestone. Ore body is lenticular.

Tectonic features include a faulted contact to the east with Mississippian limestone.

Workings are shallow. A few tens of tons of ore were produced in 1911 and 1920.
