Salinas del Arroyo Torrijano, Salinas del Río de Arcos
Saltworks located in the vicinity of Arroyo Torrijano river (Río de Arcos), about 1,700 m west of the village of Arcos de las Salinas. They were the most important in the province of Teruel in the 19th century, being in operation at least since the middle ages. Salt was obtained by evaporation in rafts of water extracted with ferris wheels from Keuper levels. These satworks have been active until end of the 20th century. Currently they are inactive and the rafts are dry, although the facilities are in acceptable good condition. The place is listed as a Site of Cultural Interest since 2010.
