Very little is known about the Cape Mine, other than it worked a rich copper fissure deposit about two miles east of Lake Medora. No trails lead to it, so finding it in the bush can be a challenge. Once there, the piles are small but with a little patience one can find some very nice datolite and prehnite. Some copper and quartz can also be found.
