About 5km NE of Mount Jonen are 2 bodies of peralkaline granite and syenite, one of which covers an area of c.70-85 m and lies between biotite granite and hornblende-biotite granite. The second body lies wholly within hornblende-biotite granite and is c. 380m long and 30-80m wide (Asakawa & Yamada, 1980).
